1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Mentum (“the Service,” “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and subscribers.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Mentum (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Description of Service
Mentum is a web-based stock momentum intelligence platform that provides:
- Ranked stock signals and IQ scores derived from quantitative analysis
- Radar alerts for early narrative and social momentum detection
- Watchlists, sector intelligence, and momentum pattern analysis
- Email and push notification alerts based on user-configured preferences
- AI-assisted narrative context and market commentary
Mentum aggregates publicly available market data, social sentiment signals, and proprietary scoring logic to surface informational insights. The Service is provided for research and educational purposes only.
Mentum does not execute trades, manage portfolios, or act as a broker, dealer, or registered investment advisor.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Service. By using Mentum, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. Mentum is not available to users in jurisdictions where such services are prohibited by law.
4. Accounts and Security
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are associated with fraudulent activity.
5. Subscriptions and Billing
Certain features of Mentum require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the rate shown at checkout.
- Billing cycle: Monthly or annual, as selected at signup
- Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
- Price changes: We will provide notice of any price changes at least 14 days in advance
- Failed payments: If payment fails, access may be suspended until payment is resolved
Payments are processed through our third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment card details.
6. Refund Policy
We offer a 7-day refund for new subscribers who are unsatisfied with their first paid subscription period, provided no significant portion of the subscription content has been consumed and the request is made within 7 days of initial charge. To request a refund, contact us at support@mentumstock.com.
Refunds are not available for partial billing periods after the initial 7-day window, annual subscriptions after 30 days, or accounts suspended for violations of these Terms.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the platform without written permission
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract proprietary algorithms or scoring logic
- Share, resell, or sublicense your account or subscription to others
- Use automated bots or tools to access the Service
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the platform
- Use signals or analysis to engage in market manipulation or fraudulent trading activities
8. Intellectual Property
All content on Mentum — including but not limited to signal scoring methodology, ranking algorithms, UI design, written commentary, and platform architecture — is the exclusive intellectual property of Mentum and its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial research purposes only.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you.
9. Disclaimers — No Financial Advice
Mentum is an informational and analytical research tool only. The signals, scores, alerts, commentary, and analysis provided by the Service:
- Do not constitute investment advice, financial advice, or recommendations of any kind
- Are not tailored to the investment objectives, financial situation, or needs of any specific user
- Are not a substitute for independent financial judgment or consultation with a licensed financial advisor
- Do not guarantee any particular outcome or return
Past signal performance does not guarantee future results. All investing involves risk, including potential loss of principal.
Mentum is not registered as a broker-dealer, investment advisor, or financial planner with the SEC, FINRA, or any other regulatory body. We expressly disclaim any fiduciary duty to users.
10. No Guarantees of Accuracy
The Service relies on third-party data providers, social sentiment sources, and proprietary analysis. While we strive for accuracy, we make no representations or warranties that:
- Any signal, score, or analysis is accurate, complete, or timely
- The platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times
- Any market data is free from delays, inaccuracies, or omissions
Market data may be delayed. Real-time accuracy is not guaranteed.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mentum and its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, or financial losses arising from:
- Your use of or inability to use the Service
- Any investment or trading decisions made in reliance on Mentum signals or analysis
- Errors, delays, or inaccuracies in market data or signal output
- Unauthorized access to your account
In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the three months preceding the claim.
12. Third-Party Data and Services
Mentum uses third-party services to operate the platform, including:
- Market data providers — for price, volume, and financial data (subject to their respective terms)
- Social sentiment providers — for narrative and momentum signal inputs
- OneSignal — for push notification delivery
- Payment processors — for subscription billing
We are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or terms of third-party services. Your use of services connected to Mentum may be subject to additional terms from those providers.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we reasonably determine violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or may expose Mentum to legal liability. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Maryland, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in such courts.
15. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and may notify subscribers by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.
