Mentum (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Notice explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user of mentumstock.com and the Mentum platform.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Username or display name
• Password (stored in hashed form — we never store plaintext passwords)

Subscription and Billing Information

When you subscribe, billing details (card number, billing address) are collected and processed directly by our payment processor. We receive only a transaction confirmation and masked payment summary — we do not store full card details on our servers.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you use the platform, including:

• Pages visited, features accessed, and time spent on the platform
• Signal and alert interactions (e.g., watchlist additions, alert preferences)
• Notification preferences and opt-in/opt-out status

Device and Technical Data

• IP address
• Browser type and version
• Operating system and device type
• Referral source and session data

Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the platform, maintain your session, and remember your preferences. See Section 7 (Cookies) for more detail.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

• Operate the platform — authenticate your account, display your personalized signal feed, watchlists, and alerts
• Deliver notifications — send email alerts and push notifications based on your configured preferences
• Process subscriptions — manage billing, renewals, and refund requests
• Improve the product — analyze usage patterns to improve features, fix bugs, and prioritize development
• Communicate with you — respond to support inquiries, send product updates, and notify you of Terms or policy changes
• Maintain security — detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data to build advertising profiles or share it with advertising networks.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Mentum. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data:

OneSignal (Push Notifications)

We use OneSignal to deliver browser and mobile push notifications. When you opt in to push notifications, OneSignal receives a notification subscription token linked to your device. OneSignal’s privacy policy is available at onesignal.com/privacy_policy.

Payment Processor

Subscription payments are processed by a third-party payment processor (such as Stripe). Your full payment card details are transmitted directly to and stored by the processor — not by Mentum. The processor’s privacy policy governs the handling of your payment data.

Market Data Providers

Mentum uses third-party data providers (including Alpha Vantage and others) to source market data, price feeds, and sentiment signals. These providers receive only ticker-level API queries — no personal user information is shared with data providers.

Analytics

We may use analytics tools to understand aggregate platform usage. Where used, these tools may collect anonymized usage data. We configure such tools to minimize personal data collection where possible.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• With service providers — third parties who process data on our behalf (payment processing, notification delivery) under contractual confidentiality obligations
• Legal compliance — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Mentum, its users, or the public
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case users will be notified

5. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access — you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — you may update your account information at any time through your account settings
• Deletion — you may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing support@mentumstock.com. Note that some data may be retained for legal or fraud-prevention purposes
• Opt-out of communications — you may unsubscribe from email alerts and marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email, or through your Alerts settings. You may disable push notifications through your account Alerts page or your device/browser settings
• Data portability — you may request an export of your account data in a structured format

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as resolving disputes or maintaining financial records).

Signal detection logs and anonymized usage data may be retained in aggregate, non-identifiable form for product improvement purposes.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar browser storage to:

• Session management — keep you logged in across page visits (essential, cannot be disabled without affecting functionality)
• Preferences — remember your alert settings and display preferences
• Analytics — understand how users interact with the platform in aggregate

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in and using the platform. Third-party cookies (e.g., from analytics tools) can typically be blocked without affecting core functionality.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

• HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted to and from the platform
• Hashed password storage (plaintext passwords are never stored)
• Access controls limiting who within our team can access user data
• Regular monitoring for unauthorized access or anomalies

No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data, and you use the platform at your own risk. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

9. Children’s Privacy

Mentum is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have collected information from a user under 18, we will delete it promptly.

10. International Users

Mentum is operated from the United States. If you access the platform from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer and processing.

11. Changes to This Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers by email. Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated notice.
